Today was day 1 of Sight Tech Global, the big blind tech conference I’ve been working on with former TechCrunch COO Ned Desmond since this summer. It’s incredible how these things sneak up on you. You think you’ve got six months and then boom, it’s the night before and the house is a mess and you’re all alone building a steel frame for an eight-foot backdrop banner and the edible you ate to get some sleep just isn’t working. Nonetheless, the first day went off (mostly) without a hitch, and you can watch all of the sessions here at the Sight Tech YouTube channel (sans my emcee bits).
For my shining face (like seriously very shiny), you’ll have to tune in again tomorrow at 8 AM Pacific, at sighttechglobal.com/event.
If you’d prefer to just read about the event and opine from that cushy armchair of yours, check out the article I wrote for TechCrunch, which gives you a good sense of what we’re talking about without the five hours of nerdy panel discussions. This is the first thing I’ve published on a mainstream publication in years, it seems… brushing the dust off…
